The full error usually reads "Error starting sequence: Request failed with status code 404," and it pops up the moment you click Start on your outreach sequence. What it actually means is that the system tried to grab a required resource (usually a TikTok product or a linked bot configuration) and TikTok's API returned nothing, leaving Hubfluence expecting something to be there. The error sounds severe, but the underlying cause is almost always benign: a stale auth token, a recently deleted product, or a brief sync hiccup after a period of inactivity.
Start with the easy one. Just refresh the page. A reload forces Hubfluence to re-fetch your product list and reconnect to TikTok's API endpoints, and that clears the 404 on the next outreach-sequence start attempt about 80% of the time. If that doesn't work, double-check that the product you're trying to attach is still live and active in your TikTok Shop. Products that were deleted, archived, or pulled mid-edit will throw a 404 on the affiliate side even when they still look fine in your Seller Center catalog. Re-pick or re-link the product if you need to, then try launching again.
Still seeing a 404 after a refresh and a product check? Time to reconnect your TikTok Shop integration from scratch. Head into Settings, open Integrations, hit Disconnect TikTok, and reconnect using the secure auth flow. Once the integration shows green, retry the outreach sequence and it should fire normally.
If it's still 404-ing after all three fixes, jump into our Discord and we'll pull the API logs to see exactly what TikTok is sending back.
