Why is/was my campaign paused?

Understanding how TikTok’s rate limits impact campaign delivery and when your bot will resume automatically.

Updated today

If your Hubfluence campaign shows a “paused” status, don’t worry — this doesn’t mean something is broken.

In most cases, it just means the bot temporarily stopped due to TikTok’s rate limits.

These limits control how many invites or messages can be sent in a certain time window.

🧠 What causes a campaign to pause?

TikTok enforces strict API rate limits on how many Target Invites and DMs can be sent per day — and per time interval.

When those limits are hit, Hubfluence automatically backs off to avoid getting blocked or flagged.

This triggers a short pause, and then the bot will automatically resume once TikTok allows more invites to go through.

How it works behind the scenes:

  • Hubfluence sends as many invites as TikTok allows

  • Once the system detects rate limits, it pauses that batch

  • Your campaign will resume on its own — no need to restart

  • The dashboard may show this as “paused” while it waits for TikTok’s window to reset
