The error "Error starting sequence: Request failed with status code 404" pops up the moment you click Start on an outreach sequence. It sounds severe, but the cause is almost always benign and quick to fix.
Quick answer
A 404 when starting a sequence means Hubfluence tried to fetch a required resource (usually a TikTok product or a linked configuration) and TikTok's API returned nothing. It is almost always a stale auth token, a deleted or archived product, or a brief sync hiccup. Refresh the page first (clears it about 80% of the time), then confirm the product is live, then disconnect and reconnect your TikTok Shop.
What the error means
The system tried to grab a required resource, usually a TikTok product or a linked bot configuration, and TikTok's API returned nothing, leaving Hubfluence expecting something that was not there. The underlying cause is almost always a stale auth token, a recently deleted product, or a brief sync hiccup after a period of inactivity.
How to fix it
Refresh the page. A reload forces Hubfluence to re-fetch your product list and reconnect to TikTok's API endpoints, and that clears the 404 on the next start attempt about 80% of the time.
Check the product is live. Products that were deleted, archived, or pulled mid-edit throw a 404 on the affiliate side even when they still look fine in your Seller Center catalog. Re-pick or re-link the product, then try again.
Reconnect TikTok Shop. Go to Settings, Integrations, click Disconnect TikTok, and reconnect using the secure auth flow. Once the integration shows green, retry the sequence.
