Why are my outreach sequences not sending?

Sequences pause when the TikTok invite quota is zero, the auth token expired, or the linked product was archived. Check those three first.

A sequence that is running on paper but not actually sending invites is almost always one of a handful of things, and you can usually rule them out in under five minutes.

Quick answer

Sequences usually stop sending for one of five reasons: your TikTok weekly outreach quota hit zero (resets Sunday), there are no creators left inside your filters, the sequence is in a stuck state that a restart clears, TikTok is temporarily rate-limiting sends, or your TikTok auth token silently expired. Check them in that order and most cases resolve in a few minutes.

1. Check your weekly outreach quota

TikTok caps how many new creator messages and Target Invites your shop can send per week based on your rolling 30-day GMV. Once you hit that ceiling, sequences stop cold until the cap resets on Sunday. Check the quota counter on the home page. If it is at or near zero, the system is doing exactly what it should, and the fix is waiting for the weekly reset.

2. Check you still have creators in your filters

If your targeting is narrow or you have already messaged most creators that fit your filters, the sequence can run out of eligible accounts and stop sending. This happens often on older sequences or heavily filtered lists. Widen the filters or point the sequence at a fresh list.

3. Stop and restart the sequence

If quota and creator availability both look good, stop the sequence and restart it from the dashboard. A restart forces the system to re-fetch product data, refresh audience filters, and re-establish its connection to the TikTok API, which clears the most common stuck states. A large share of "not sending" tickets resolve with a clean restart alone.

4. Rule out TikTok-side rate limiting

Sometimes TikTok slows or pauses outreach depending on messaging volume, API load, or platform-side restrictions. In those cases the sequence may still look active, but sends are temporarily throttled in the background until the limit cools off.

5. Reconnect your TikTok Shop integration

If your auth token has silently expired (which occasionally happens after inactivity or a TikTok API change), the sequence can look active while every send call fails behind the scenes. Go to Settings, Integrations, disconnect TikTok Shop, then reconnect using the secure auth flow. Restart the sequence once the integration shows green and outreach should resume within a few minutes.
