You do not have to tear down a sequence to change it. You can pause a running sequence, edit its steps and templates, and duplicate it to reuse the setup for a new list.

Open the Outreach Sequences page, pick the sequence, and use the controls on it to pause, edit, or duplicate. Pausing stops new sends without losing progress, editing lets you change steps and copy for touches that have not gone out yet, and duplicating clones the whole setup so you can point it at a new creator list.

Pausing stops the sequence from sending any new messages while keeping everyone's place. Reply detection still holds, so nobody who already replied gets messaged. Resume whenever you are ready and the remaining steps pick back up. This is the safest way to make a quick change or hold outreach for a day.

Open the sequence to change the message copy, personalization fields, timing between steps, or add and remove steps. Editing the template updates the copy for the touches that have not gone out yet. Messages already sent are not resent. If you are making a big structural change, pause first, edit, then resume so nothing sends mid-edit.

Duplicating clones the entire setup (steps, timing, and templates) into a new sequence you can point at a different creator list or SKU. It is the fastest way to reuse a sequence that already works instead of rebuilding it. Duplicate the winner, swap the list, and launch.

If a sequence paused without you touching it, that is usually TikTok's invite quota hitting zero, an expired auth token, or an archived product, not a bug. Check those three first. There is a separate article on why sequences pause or stop sending if you need it.
